If email prospecting is one of the channels you utilize for new business development, few things you should consider before pressing the send button :
1. Make sure the length of email is short. Very few people have time to read your email which are paragraphs in length. Anything over 60 words will most likely be ignored .
2. Relevant subject line is as important as the body of the email. If it doesn’t catch your prospects eye or has any spammy words, it will be deleted without even being opened. Keep it short, simple and relevant .
3. Focus on an issue your research shows the buyers persona is most likely to have and could be costing them money or lot of time to complete.
4. Target minimum of 2-3 buyers persona that you think could be affected by your product. Start building relationships internally from the start then play the catch up game .
5. Use a Non- Pressurizing CTA which will help you build trust and long term relationship and will result in higher conversion rate .
6. Personalization will give you the edge as it helps to catch the eye of your prospect. Please don’t use a cookie cutter approach but invest time on researching about the prospect and be genuine .
7. Focus on their problem and results your product / service can give them. They don’t want to hear about big brands you work with or features that you offer, just how can you solve their problem which they didn’t know about before reading your email .
